we are soliciting feedback from users on HackRF Pro and PortaPack H4M Pro product, including suggestions for product improvement, software usage issues, and hardware problems. We warmly welcome everyone to write down your questions in this post. Thanks!
Just received mine today, so far so good. The only issue so far I’ve had is the SD card, the case makes it hard to insert or release them, cant get my finger/fingernail down far enough to latch it or release it. Had to take the front off the case, mainly because it also is a little wide and i dropped the card into the case behind the portapack itself.
Please do not worry, We did a new firmware update last night, specifically modified for ADS-B functionality. Based on our own testing and the testing results from a firmware developer, it appears that we have resolved the issue with ADS-B reception. We hope to release a new version of the firmware in the next 2-3 days. Thanks!
Thank you for providing confirmation regarding ADS-B. I am experiencing an issue with the LNA on my HackRF Pro across all applications, and I am wondering if this is an isolated incident. Specifically, the LNA gain does not appear to increase when I adjust it to settings such as 8, 24, or 40. I am trying to ascertain whether this is a firmware-related problem or if I may have inadvertently caused damage to my HackRF Pro. It seems that there is no increase at all in gain when transitioning from 0 to 8, 16 to 24, or 32 to 40. No increase in noise floor at all. The performance at these higher settings appears to be identical to that at 0, 16, and 32, respectively.
